How do I know if my phone supports eSIM?
Dial *#06# on your phone.
- If you see an EID number, your phone supports eSIM.
- If there is no EID, it does not support eSIM.
EID is a built-in digital SIM ID that only eSIM-compatible phones have.
Can I get a refund if I don’t like or can’t use the SIM?
Yes. You can ask for a refund within 30 days after you receive your eSIM as long as it has NOT been activated or used.
- Full refund if the eSIM doesn’t work because of our system or if your phone is not compatible (before activation).
- Partial refund (50%) if the problem is caused by your device or settings.
- No refund if the eSIM has already been activated, used, or if the wrong country was purchased.
If something goes wrong, just email support@balitel.com with your order number.
How do I receive and activate my eSIM?
After purchase, complete the registration form sent to your email.
- Upload your passport, selfie, and phone IMEI (dial *#06#).
- Once approved, you’ll receive the QR code by email.
- If you buy more than 2 days before your trip, the QR code is sent 1 day before arrival (government rule).
Your plan activates instantly when you land in Bali.
What if eSIM doesn’t work when I land?
eSIM activates automatically once you land.
If anything unexpected happens, just use airport WiFi to contact our 24/7 support via WhatsApp or live chat.
If the issue continues, we’ll immediately provide a replacement or refund, so you’re fully covered.
Is this an official / authorized Telkomsel SIM?
Yes. Balitel is an official Telkomsel partner. All SIMs and eSIMs provided are official and authorized Telkomsel products.
Telkomsel is Indonesia’s market leader in mobile telecommunications, with over 50% market share, far ahead of the other two telcos (Indosat and XLSmart), and the widest network coverage nationwide.
To verify authenticity, download the MyTelkomsel app. An official Telkomsel SIM will be automatically recognized.
Is this cheaper than airport SIMs?
Yes. This SIM is cheaper than airport SIMs while offering the same Telkomsel product. Airport SIMs cost more due to convenience and location.

Are there hidden charges or fair-use limits?

Will my WhatsApp and Banking apps still work?
Yes. Everything keeps working. Your apps are tied to your phone, not the SIM.
- WhatsApp stays untouched: You keep all your chats, photos, and contacts. Your friends will still see your messages coming from your usual number.
- Banking works normally: Your banking and security apps will not change. No apps will stop working.
- Receive OTP codes: If your bank sends login codes via SMS, just keep your primary SIM active in your phone settings (Dual SIM).
You can use our SIM for internet and keep your primary SIM for your phone number.
IMPORTANT: When you open WhatsApp for the first time with the new SIM, it asks if you want to change your number. Always choose “Keep” or “No” so nothing changes.
