eSIM Compatible Phones: Complete List by Brand (2026)
Share
Quick answer: your phone supports eSIM if dialing *#06# shows an EID number. In general, every iPhone from the XR/XS (2018) onward, Samsung Galaxy S20 and newer flagships, Google Pixel 3 and newer, and most recent flagship models from Xiaomi, Motorola, OnePlus, OPPO, and Vivo support eSIM. Most budget Android phones — including nearly all Infinix, Tecno, Redmi, and POCO models — do not.
Below is the full 2026 list for the phone brands Balitel customers actually bring to Bali. Unlike most lists online, ours is cross-checked by our store team in Bali, who test eSIM activation on Indonesia-market phones every day — where you'll see "verified in our store," that model has been tested on the Telkomsel network by us, not copied from a spec sheet.
The 10-Second Check: Does My Phone Support eSIM?
- Open your phone dialer and type *#06#
- If you see an EID (a 32-digit number) listed with your IMEI, your phone supports eSIM
- No EID? Your phone does not support eSIM — you'll need a physical SIM instead
You can also check in settings: on iPhone, go to Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM; on Android, look for Settings → SIMs / SIM Manager → Add eSIM. If the option appears, you're compatible.
One more requirement: your phone must be carrier-unlocked. A phone locked to your home carrier cannot install a travel eSIM even if the hardware supports it.
1. Apple iPhone
Every iPhone from 2018 onward supports eSIM:
- iPhone XR, XS, XS Max
- iPhone 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 series (all models, including Pro, Pro Max, Plus, Mini)
- iPhone SE (2020) and SE (2022)
- iPhone 16e and 17e
- iPhone Air (eSIM-only worldwide — no physical SIM slot at all)
Exception: iPhones bought in mainland China (and most from Hong Kong/Macao) do not support eSIM, except the iPhone Air. US-market iPhone 14 and newer are eSIM-only.

2. Samsung
- Galaxy S20, S21, S22, S23, S24, S25, S26 series (including Ultra, +, Edge, and FE models — S25 FE and S26 series verified in our store)
- Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra 5G
- All Galaxy Z Fold models (Fold through Fold7, Z TriFold — Fold7 verified in our store)
- All Galaxy Z Flip models (Flip through Flip7 and Flip7 FE — Flip7 verified in our store)
- Galaxy A55 5G, A56 5G, A57 5G, A37 5G (A56, A57, and A37 verified in our store)
- Galaxy A36, A35 — eSIM only in Europe, North America, and Korea; Galaxy A54 — only in Europe, North America, Korea, and Japan
The A-series is where the region matters most. Samsung's official eSIM support list confirms the A36 and A35 have eSIM only on units sold in Europe, North America, and Korea — Indonesia-market units don't have it at all, which matches our own store tests. So a traveler who bought an A36 in Germany can use eSIM in Bali, but an A36 bought in Indonesia cannot. If you're buying a mid-range Galaxy in Indonesia for eSIM, start at the A56.
Not compatible: Galaxy A26 5G, A17, A07, the older S20 FE, US-market S20/S21, and almost all Samsung phones sold in Hong Kong. Always run the *#06# check on your specific unit.

- Redmi Note 13 Pro+, Note 14 Pro / Pro+, Note 15 Pro 5G / Pro+ 5G (Note 15 Pro and Pro+ verified in our store)
- POCO X7, POCO X8 Pro Max
Not compatible (tested in our store): the regular Redmi Note 15 and Note 15 5G, Redmi 15, Redmi 15C, and the Redmi A-series (A5, A7 Pro). As a rule, only the "Pro" Redmi Note models support eSIM — the standard ones do not. Xiaomi phones sold in mainland China also have eSIM disabled.

4. Google Pixel
- Pixel 3, 3 XL, 3a, 3a XL (with regional exceptions below)
- Pixel 4, 4a, 4 XL

- Pixel 10, 10 Pro, 10 Pro XL, 10a
- Pixel Fold
Exceptions: Pixel 3 units sold in Australia, Japan, and Taiwan; Pixel 3a units from Japan or Southeast Asia; and all Pixels sold in Hong Kong do not support eSIM.
5. Motorola
- Razr 2019, Razr 5G, Razr 2022, Razr 2024, Razr+, Razr+ 2024
- Razr 40, 40 Ultra, Razr 60, 60 Ultra, Razr 70, 70+, 70 Ultra

- Edge 70, 70 Pro, 70 Ultra, 70 Fusion, 70 Fusion+
- Moto G34, G35, G53, G54, G84, G Power 5G (2024), G Stylus 5G (2024)
Motorola is one of the few brands offering eSIM on mid-range Moto G models — good news for budget travelers.
6. OnePlus
- OnePlus 11, 12, 13, 13R, 13T, 15
- OnePlus Open
Note: OnePlus eSIM support is region-dependent — North American and European versions generally support it; Chinese and Indian versions often do not. Run the *#06# check.
7. OPPO
- Find X9, X9 Pro (both verified in our store), X9 Ultra
- Find X3, X3 Pro, X5, X5 Pro, X8, X8 Pro
- Find N2 Flip, Find N3, Find N3 Flip
- Reno15 5G and Reno15 Pro Max 5G (verified in our store), Reno14, Reno14 Pro
- Reno 5A, Reno 6 Pro 5G, Reno 9A, A55s 5G (Japan-market models)
Not compatible (tested in our store): the Reno15 F 5G — careful, only the regular Reno15 and Pro Max support eSIM — and the OPPO A6 family (A6, A6s, A6X, A6c). Older Reno models (Reno 8–11) and China-market Find X units also lack eSIM.
8. Vivo
- Vivo X300, X300 Pro (both verified in our store), X300 FE
- Vivo X200, X200s, X200 Pro, X200 FE
- Vivo X80 Pro, X90 Pro, X100 Pro
- Vivo V70 (verified in our store), V40, V40 Lite, V40 SE, V29, V29 Lite (Europe)
Not compatible (tested in our store): the V70 FE — unlike the regular V70 — and the budget Y-series (Y05, Y11D, Y31D Pro). Older non-Pro X-series models also lack eSIM.
9. Realme
- Realme GT 7, GT 8 Pro (global versions)
- Realme 14 Pro+ (global version)
Not compatible (tested in our store): the Indonesia-market Realme 16, 16 Pro, and 16 Pro+ 5G, the entire C-series (C71, C85, C85 Pro, C100, C100i, C100X), and the Note 80. In practice, if you're bringing a Realme phone to Bali, expect to need a physical SIM unless you have a global GT flagship — run the *#06# check first.
10. Infinix
- Infinix Note 60 Ultra 5G (verified in our store)
Important correction you won't find on other lists: some global sources say the Infinix Note 60 Pro supports eSIM, but our store team tested the Indonesia-market Note 60 Pro 5G and it does not. Neither do the GT 30/GT 50 Pro, the Hot 60/70 series, the Note Edge 5G, or the Smart series. If you carry an Infinix, only the Note 60 Ultra 5G works with eSIM.
11. Tecno
- Tecno Camon 50 Ultra
This is currently the only Tecno phone with eSIM support. If you carry any other Tecno model, plan on a physical SIM card instead.
Bought Your Phone in China, Hong Kong, or India? Read This
The most common surprise we see at Balitel: a traveler's phone model is "on the list" but eSIM still doesn't work. The reason is almost always the regional version. Phones sold in mainland China have eSIM disabled by regulation (the iPhone Air is the first exception), Hong Kong and Macao models frequently ship without it, some Indian variants lack support, and — as Samsung's own documentation confirms — mid-range Galaxy models like the A36 only include eSIM in Europe, North America, and Korea. The *#06# EID check tells you the truth for your exact phone in 10 seconds — trust it over any list, including this one.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if my phone supports eSIM?
Dial *#06# on your phone. If an EID number appears alongside your IMEI, your phone supports eSIM.
Do all iPhones support eSIM?
No. eSIM support starts with the iPhone XR and XS from 2018. Older models, and most iPhones bought in mainland China, Hong Kong, or Macao, do not support eSIM.
Does the Samsung Galaxy A36 support eSIM?
Only in some regions. Samsung's official support list shows the A36 has eSIM on units sold in Europe, North America, and Korea. Units sold in Indonesia and most other markets do not have eSIM — confirmed by our store tests. Dial *#06# to check yours.
Does the Infinix Note 60 Pro support eSIM?
The Indonesia-market Note 60 Pro 5G does not, based on our store testing — only the Note 60 Ultra 5G supports eSIM. Some global variants may differ, so run the *#06# check.
Why doesn't my phone support eSIM even though it's on the list?
Regional versions differ. Phones sold in mainland China, Hong Kong, and some other markets have eSIM disabled even when the same model supports it elsewhere. The *#06# check confirms your specific device.
Can I use eSIM on a carrier-locked phone?
No. Your phone must be unlocked from your home carrier before it can install a travel eSIM.
My phone doesn't support eSIM — can I still get connected in Bali?
Yes. You can use a physical Telkomsel tourist SIM card instead. Contact Balitel on WhatsApp and we'll help you choose the right option.
