At a Glance:
-
Network: Telkomsel — Indonesia's largest, over 97% population coverage
-
Local Number: Real Indonesian +62 — needed for Grab, Gojek, Shopee, Tinder, and QRIS
-
Data & Calls: High-speed 4G/5G + 30 mins local calls + 30 SMS
-
Hotspot: Included, no separate cap
-
Validity: 30 days, starting on your arrival day
-
Top-ups: add data, not days. On day 30, your phone's IMEI registration ends, so the eSIM stops working, even with data left. Staying longer? Get the 60-day or 90-day plan.
-
Setup: About 10 minutes, all on WhatsApp
-
Plans: 10GB, 20GB, 53GB or 103GB — price shown in your currency

-
Best for: Trips of up to 30 days in Bali or anywhere in Indonesia; using Grab, Gojek, GoPay and QRIS on a local +62 number
The best eSIM for Bali is a local Telkomsel eSIM. It connects you directly to Indonesia's biggest network rather than routing you through roaming, and it gives you a real Indonesian phone number — which is what makes Grab, Gojek, QRIS and local bookings actually work.
Looking for a Telkomsel SIM card in Bali? It's the same Telkomsel network as the airport SIM card, as an eSIM — no plastic SIM to swap.

How It Works
-
Buy your plan — pick a data size below.
-
Fill in the short form — passport and travel details, about 5 minutes. Required by Indonesian law.
-
Message us on WhatsApp — we send your QR code and walk you through the rest.
- You're online.
We do the hard part. Registering your device with the Indonesian government is the step that trips people up. We handle it for you, and a real person stays with you on WhatsApp until your line is live.

Buying early? Installing the eSIM does not start your 30 days. The clock begins only when we activate it, so you can set everything up weeks before you fly and lose nothing.

Which Plan Should You Pick?
One gigabyte a day.
Your number of days is your number of gigabytes. A 10-day trip needs about 10GB.
Double it if you watch video — one hour of Netflix is about 3GB.
| Your trip |
Normal use |
Video most days |
| Up to a week |
10GB |
20GB |
| Two to three weeks |
20GB |
53GB |
| A month |
53GB |
103GB |
When in doubt, go one size up. Running out on day nine is more annoying than the small amount you saved. If you do run out, we can top up your line with more data on the same number. A top-up adds data, not days: the line still stops on day 30.
Staying longer than a month? Each 30-day plan uses one IMEI registration, and you get only two tourist registrations a year per phone and per passport, counting SIMs from any Indonesian network — so 30-day plans cover at most 60 days a year, with a new number each time. The 60-day plan (150GB) and the 90-day plan (200GB) cover your whole stay on one registration and one number.

Roaming eSIMs cannot issue an Indonesian number at all, which is why Gojek and Grab verification codes never arrive on them. The airport price above is what the Telkomsel kiosk at Ngurah Rai charged for its 21GB eSIM when we surveyed it in August 2026, before Telkomsel replaced that plan with 20GB.
Found a Cheaper Bali eSIM Online? Here's the Difference
A cheaper local eSIM can run on the same Telkomsel network, at the same speed. The small extra you pay with Balitel is for what happens when something goes wrong. Ask any seller these five questions:
| Ask any seller |
Balitel's answer |
| Who registers my phone with the government? |
✅ We do, as an authorized Telkomsel retailer (outlet 3301071729) |
| How fast does a real person reply? |
✅ Usually within a minute on WhatsApp, 8:00 AM – 2:00 AM Bali time |
| What if I change phones before my trip? |
✅ Tell us before your arrival day and we register the new phone on the same eSIM |
| Can I walk into a shop if it stops working? |
✅ Yes, five stores in Denpasar, Kuta, Seminyak and Canggu |
| How long have you been in Bali? |
✅ Since 1998, as Diamond Handphone |
Your convenience comes first. If something goes wrong, a real person replies on WhatsApp, usually within a minute. Our customers often praise us for it.
Help doesn't stop once you've paid. We stay with you for your whole trip, 8:00 AM – 2:00 AM Bali time. That's what the small difference pays for.
